Representatives of Regional Economic Models, Inc. (REMI) will discuss how they measure the costs of rebuilding livelihoods and businesses in coastal communities after hurricanes. Using an inclusive and balanced general equilibrium model, the panelists assess the costs of hurricanes and other natural disasters, and will lead a discussion on funding alternatives as rebuilding efforts get underway.
