The SGE Nominating Committee is currently accepting nominations of active SGE members for Board of Director positions that become vacant this year.

Nominations should be submitted via email to by April 15, 2021.

The SGE Board of Directors holds elections yearly to fill officer, coordinator, and at-large positions. Elections will be held online from April 26th to May 10th. The tenure and responsibilities of each position are listed in the SGE bylaws at The nature of SGE work has changed slightly over the years, and if you are interested in understanding the roles, responsibilities, and time commitments for different positions, please contact the SGE Nominating Committee at The SGE Nominating Committee is comprised of SGE members who are not seeking office; this year’s committee members are Susan Fleck and Austin Nichols.

The nomination information required is:

1)the Board position sought,

2)full name of the nominee,


4)email and phone contact, and

5)no more than a 5-sentence nomination that includes a description of the SGE activities, events, and/or committees that the nominee has been involved in and why you are interested in running. Professional information may also be included, if desired.

One may nominate oneself. If nominating someone else, you must be sure that the nominee is interested and available to serve.
