Center for Health Transformation
“Transforming Healthcare: Real Change Requires Real Change”
David Merritt of the Center for Health Transformation, Newt Gingrich's interesting and innovative health care think tank, will look at possible changes that can be made to our health care system so that our system delivers more choices of greater quality at lower costs to every American. The Center has been one of the single, strongest voices to champion the view that the foundation of this transformation must rest upon health information technology. Mr. Merritt will discuss how health IT saves lives and save money, which is why the federal government, state governments, and the private sector are aggressively pushing its adoption and use. This session will provide an overview of the issue, describe key developments in the public and private sector, and explore how health IT is an important lever to transform healthcare.
