Speaker: Ike Brannon

Title: "Tax Credits and Capital Taxation"
Ike Brannon is the Principal Economic Adviser to Senator Orrin Hatch,
and advises the Senator on issues pertinent to taxation and the Senate
Finance Committee. He Joined the Senator's staff in 2005.
He previously served the Congress as the chief economist for the Joint
Economic Committee. His research has focused on issues of international
trade, pensions, energy and transportation, and he has published widely
on these issues.
He came to Congress from the Office of Management and Budget, where he
was an economist in the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.
Prior to going to Washington he was associate professor of economics at
the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and a research associate at the
Wisconsin Policy Research Institute. Mr. Brannon received his
undergraduate degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois and
his Ph.D. in Economics from Indiana University.
