Call for Papers: SGE Conference March 27, 2020

The Society of Government Economists Annual Conference includes papers and sessions on economic topics relating to 1) government programs or public policy at local, national and international levels, 2) improvements and changes in government economic surveys, data, and measures, and 3) research on microeconomic and macroeconomic trends and issues that inform and impact policy.

The Conference will occur Friday, March 27, 2020, 8:30am-4:30pm, at the Janet Norwood Conference and Training Center, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2 Massachusetts Ave, NE, Washington, DC. Deadline for Paper Submissions is February 1, 2020. Abstracts for single papers and organized sessions should be submitted online via easychair ( now through February 1, 2020. You will need to create an easychair account before submitting an abstract.
  • Submissions will be considered on a rolling basis between December 15 and February 1 by a subcommittee of the SGE Board of Directors.
  • Notice will be sent to presenters starting February 15 through February 28. (Participants unable to submit abstract or payment online may contact for assistance.)
  • Fees this year are the same for presenters and attendees. Students can register for free! Once an author has been notified that their paper has been selected, timely conference fee payment is expected. Credit, debit, and Paypal processed at SGE’s secure Paypal website.
